Freedom. That's what this week was about. Declaring truth to break free of fears and strongholds blocking us from a full life in Christ. I'm learning God's humor. It seems as if everything I am learning here, I am having to apply to my personal life. Things keep happening that push me to draw closer to Christ and trust Him. He is walking me through trials and that is the best thing ever.
The biggest thing my classmates and I have been breaking off is fear of man...or fear of judgment from man. It's funny that we are so consumed at how imperfect beings perceive us and less concerned with how the almighty King perceives us. It is such a weight put upon us and something we were never created for. Amazingly enough, Christ in us brings freedom from that. Do you know how great that feels? To know that you are heirs of God and perfect in His eyes...that the creator desires a relationship with you no matter how much of a fool you make of yourself. It doesn't matter...he is the one who will never cease to chase after us. And simultaneously I was pushed to break that off me. I had to confront, I had to admit, I have to confess...without fear of judgment from those people. And you know what? It truly sets you free. When you bring things into the light, they can no longer grip darkness in your heart.
Recently, I've also had to go through situations that have come up in the past. Like the same trial in a new light...except harder. And I know in the past that I have never handled that mountain well...I feel like I've always failed because I've kept my control over it. But this time I heard God telling me that He is giving me a chance to face it in the right way...to hand it all over to Him and have him carry me over that mountain. So I had no other choice. I left it up to him...because he is my rock. My goodness, you guys, I wish I had known before how EASY it is to overcome mountains when you put your faith in God and trust Him to lead you. I'm seriously blown away at how much He does for me. I cannot say more about how He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. Please, take a step of faith and trust in him. Seek to hear his voice. Search His will. He is so faithful to have victory over those trials in a way that will only make you stronger.
Anyways, on a different note...
