Pennies in my Palm

     Just a little update on what's happening. God's love. This week has been about loving God and His Word. Being confident in what He has promised.
     Man...we started this week off good. The base leader of YWAM Maui, Tom, came and taught us a Biblical overview. Basically, a general teaching of the whole Bible in about 5 hours. It was fast and intense, but so great! He really made the whole story come alive and showing us how the Old Testament points the way to man's redemption through Jesus Christ in the New Testament. It is so amazing how much we overlook when we don't take the time to study the Word. Dive in! One thing that stood out to me is in John 16 when Jesus says that the Holy Spirit will guide us into truth. As believers in Christ, we have God/The Holy Spirit living inside us. We don't need to know all the answers when we accept Christ because this spirit inside us will guide us into truth! That is why God sent the Holy Spirit! And every time we open up our Bible, the Holy Spirit wants to show us more and more of God and who He is.

Last night brought revival.

     We had night class at 6:30 for the first time. Andy Byrd speaking. I knew it was going to be amazing and it far outweighed my expectations. The Holy Spirit seriously came down. The last 24-hours has been all about revival of the heart. Revelation that we need to make him Lord over all things because THAT is the way to TRUE life! Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly... When we step back and look at everything he has done for us and the love he sends down upon us, how can we not want to give every part of our life up to him? Not only because he is worthy but because that is the way to eternal life!

     A few weeks ago, I had a revelation while talking to a camper at Mt. Gilead. So many times we hear that God has a plan for us, but we are already attached to being in control. But when I really looked at it, something clicked for me. God created us. And while he was creating us, he also created this perfect life for us. Not just the circumstances or environment, but a whole path for our life. And God is perfect, so of course this plan for us was perfect. What God wants for our life isn't just made up as we go on with life. It was already created. So if we were created WITH a path for our unique life...why wouldn't we want to seek that? Sin knocked us off that path and we are striving to get back on. Jesus is the way to that. If you were made into a square block, why would you seek to get through a circle hole your whole life? Seek that square hole. Because then it lines up and it is beautiful! I hope that makes sense...it does in my mind but it's hard to explain. It's so simple! Man...God is good. He wants to bring us back into perfect relationship with him. Redeem us! That is the whole story of the Bible and life is God redeeming man!

Anyways...that was me ranting. And it's good. Jesus is so worth it. My fears, my worries, my enemies, everything has been all cast down. My life is in God's hands and He is carrying me. Best.Feeling.Ever.
