Why Brazil?      A call has been released over each of our lives to take the living gospel into a place that 3 months ago none of us were thinking about; the Amazon region of Brazil. It's here that God has opened the doors to go, make disciples, baptize, and teach His Brazilian sons & daughters. As we have stepped out in faith in God's word, we have begun to set out on this amazing journey of planning, preparing for, and leading this short-term ministry trip.      This trip exists for one reason: to bring glory to God, the creator who cares so much about restoring our relationship with Him. With the revelation of God's crazy, fiery love for us, we set out to love him in a country we have never been to. Our one hope is that He will be glorified through our actions, words, and thoughts not only with the people we encounter, but in our relationships with each other. We want to go wherever and do whatever the Father guides us to on this trip because of the commision to share the gospel. Where in Brazil?      As we have sought in prayer where the Lord wants us to go, we feel that he is leading our team to focus more in the Amazon river region of Brazil. We will be working with local contacts in the main cities of Manaus and Belem. Through ministries in these cities, we will get the oppurtunities to work with street kids, building projects, travel by boat to evangelize and disciple river communities along the Amazon, partner with local churches, and whatever else comes our way. Along with partnering with ministries, we know that the oppurtunities to travel the river by boat as a team will also open up doors to make relationships and share about Jesus. Our Motivation      I'm so incredibly blessed to be in this team family who is really marked by joy. God has been speaking to our team about bringing joy to sadness and life to dry bones.  Each one of us carries a testimony of God contintually bringing restoration to places in our hearts that are broken. Identity, family, a voice, relationships. We know this love of Jesus and life he brings to be like a gulp of cold water refreshing the thirsty. We take action because the love He shows us prompts a response greater than what we can give. With the strength and guidance from God, he works through us to further His kingdom! How You Can Get Involved! Prayer      Prayer is the most important things in missions. It is conversing with God in thanksgiving, praise, and intercession. We would love you to join us in praising Him for how he is moving, thanking Him for His provision, and praying spiritual warfare against any attacks on the team and people we are ministering to. This is really the biggest blessing to know that there are people joining with us in prayer and committing to back us up with the most powerful tool!       Feel free to write to me anything that you would like to share with us or just to connect! To keep updated, please check out my blog or subscribe to these newsletters. Finances      To make this happen, we are living by faith that the Lord is going to provide for all of our needs! He has called us to raise support from others not only to have the means to go on the trip, but for the body of Christ come together to minister to the people in Brazil whether it is through money or in actually being there. We all play a part in spreading the gospel. Would you please pray about how you can be involved in this ministry trip to the Amazon? I trust that God will speak to each of you about how you can be involved, even in ways outside of prayer and finances!      Right now I am in need of $3000 to provide for food, housing, health care, transportation, and basic needs for the 3 months.
