And we are off to Brazil!!! Just about 6 more hours until we fly out of Kona and make the 20-hour trip to Manaus, Brazil.
Thank you to everyone who has been supporting my trip! I was able to get all my money in by yesterday it was all glory to God! Couldn't have happened without His provision and you all seeking His will! Thank you SO MUCH!
We are so excited and anxious for this trip. After planning it for 4 months, I'm stoked to get to see it in real life and what God has for us down there. We are going out simply to know God and make Him known in Brazil. What a wild adventure he has us on...
We are flying into Manaus where we will be staying with different families for the first few nights until we get supplies and shots. Then we will be taking a 5-day riverboat trip (3-level passenger/cargo boat) about 800 miles up the Amazon river to get to Belem, Brazil. Belem is where we will be based in for 6-7 weeks doing ministry in the city and in the river communities.
We also have the privilege to bring a bunch of supplies to the long-term missionaries in Belem. It's a lot to haul but so worth it because some things in America are so much cheaper. Just doing this for them is a ministry in itself and I'm so glad for the oppurtunity to bless them.
I hope to keep this blog up to date somehow. We really wants to make group videos to post everywhere so hopefully those will happen. Only 4 of us will be bringing laptops and we aren't sure what the internet situation will be like.
Prayer Requests:
-Safe travel to Brazil and that our bags won't get lost!!!
-Health while traveling to Belem on the boat
-Good communication with our contacts in Manaus
-That our team will be constantly be looking to God in every situation and not lose perspective
-Salvations on the BOAT!! (and everywhere!)
That's it for now! Enjoy some photos :)
